Shower profiles
Measuring is knowing
Â
1. Required:
- Folding rule / ruler and preferably also a caliper
- Your glass wall
- Common sense
2. To do:
- Measure the glass thickness (usually 6mm, can also be 5, 8 or 10mm)
- Measure the length of the glass (available in 100cm or 200cm)
- Determine whether the strip is horizontal or vertical
- View the shape of the glass (straight, quarter round or angled) see drawings below **

Straight:
Angled (3- or 4- part pentagon), but yet straight profiles:

This cabin consists of 2 complete doors, whose glass is angled (kinked). For this wall we have all vertical shower rubbers and one horizontal leak profile.
We have been switched to multiple languages for our webshop. We have translated our pages with Google translate. It may be that the translation is not 100%, but you will definitely understand what we mean.
With several quarter-round pre-bent shower strips or strip sets, several rounds are available.
These curves are represented as Radius.
The curve of the shower tray is displayed; the curve of the strip has been adjusted accordingly.
Through the images below you can see how you can measure the roundness of the shower tray.
(It makes no sense to measure on the shower wall)
Possibility 1:
- Measure the size of the shower tray on the wall. (for example 900mm)
- Measure the straight part of the shower tray to where the curve starts. (for example 400mm)
- Apply this measure to the first measured size. (900-400 = 500)
The result is the radius. (500mm)
The wall size is often difficult to measure, because the shower wall is mounted on the shower tray.
This stands in the way, as it were.
The size can also vary slightly due to the thickness of the tile that has been placed above the shower tray.
Common sizes:
800mm - 300mm = radius 500
900mm - 400mm = radius 500
1000mm - 500mm = radius 500
800mm - 250mm = radius 550
900mm - 350mm = radius 550
1000mm - 450mm = radius 550
Possibility 2 :
Place 2 straight (!) Slats or profiles along the shower tray.
Measure from the intersection of the 2 slats at an angle of 45 degrees to the shower tray.
Multiply this measure by a factor of 2.414.
The result is the radius in mm (for example 228 x 2.414 = 550.39, rounded 550 mm)

2. What is the center distance of the hinge holes?

3. How can you mount the toilet seat on the toilet bowl?

| Bottom mounted. The (wing) nuts of the hinges can be tightened by hand on the side or bottom of the toilet bowl. |
Top mounted. Hinges that must be mounted from above. There are no inlets on the side of the toilet to tighten the nuts of the seat. |
Project mounted. Extra strong hinges with continuous pin for more stability. |
Horizontal mounted. The hinge bolts are fixed in a raised edge at the back of the toilet (straight back). |

7. What functionality should the toilet seat have?

| Softclose. The seat lands gently and silently on the closet after a small "push". |
Quick-release. The seat can be easily removed from the closet and replaced. For example, closet and seat can be cleaned easily and thoroughly. |
With toilet-shower. The seat is equipped with a toilet-shower. The toilet seat cleans your lower body with a body-warm, tender, airy shower spray of the desired intensity. |
Toilet raiser. The seat is an increased model. The toilet raiser simplifies sitting and standing up. |
With armrests. The seat is equipped with armrests, these offer extra support. |

Check step by step whether a Geberit AquaClean toilet seat can be mounted on your existing toilet bowl.

| Remove the toilet lid. Does your toilet bowl have an ordinary, more or less round shape? |
